Actually I'd rate this place five and a half stars. All I can say is THE BOBBIE!!! Small little joint off the highway, not too far off I-95...a white shack next top gas station, I would've missed it had it not been for the awnings with the name. My husband had told me about the fresh made turkey, but I did not anticipate the taste explosion that I encountered with my first bite of the Bobbie. This sandwich is akin to the traditional Pilgrim sandwich, turkey, cranberry, stuffing, and mayo. The 12 inch was chalk full of fresh, flavorful turkey, juicy cranberry, and homemade stuffing. The bread was crusty and soft, it was amazing. A must. There are several opening in the DC area as well.... So much better than any other sandwich you'll get at your run of the mill Subway. GO!

They don't know what roast beef is. I ordered a 12 in sub with roast beef, and it was over cooked. I expect roast beef to have some red in it, not brown and stringy. It was awful. Will not be back

Stopped in on the way to DC for lunch after reading others' Yelp reviews. This place was phenomenal. The italian sub was delicious and my friend raved about her salad. Definitely will be stopping here off the highway again next time I'm headed down to DC.

Great subs. Busy store. Order with the helpful sandwich builders behind the counter and await your world-class hoagie. Terrific bread. Lots 'o meat. Among the Delaware Valley's finest. Order ahead and bypass the line. Sides include an assortment of Herr's potato chips. Drinks are all the bottled variety from the cooler. No seating, and take out only. Parking in the small, shared lot is at a premium at peak hours. Located just off Route 13 on Basin Road, around the corner from the Wilmington Airport and minutes from the twin bridges and 95, this place is worth a detour. The tough decision is whether to go to Capriotti's or Ionnoni's nearby. My suggestion is to go to Cap's for subs and Ionnoni's for roast pork or roast beef. You pick 'em for cheesesteaks...

I have eaten at Capriotti's in the past and was a fan of the cheesesteak with mushrooms. It is an great sandwich with good meat and fresh soft bread. However, what I just had and bumped up the place to 4 stars was the capastrami sandwich. The pastrami was sliced thick enough for some substance and warmed up. Not heavy on the grill marks like some other places but warmed and tasty. The contrast of the cool crunchy slaw that tops the sandwich make a interesting sandwich. The bread is still soft and fresh, but strong enough to stand up to this substantive filling. This is a great hot pastrami sandwich from a place that is quick and convenient.

I heart BOBBIE! I've been hearting Bobbie for the past five years. Lately, however, I've not had the opportunity to heart Bobbie as much as I'd like. I happened to be driving back home from Philly and decided to make a pit stop at this Capriotti's location. Please NOTE: IF YOU ARE A LOCAL, YOU ALREADY KNOW TO PLACE YOUR ORDER AHEAD OF TIME! This location is always busy. I mean ALWAYS. This means that they are constantly working on building sandwiches, and your sandwich may be 40th in line. I've warned you! They work fast however, but don't get pouty if you are a walk-in and have to wait twenty minutes for your sandwich. Cause...it's worth it. Oh they have a 20" sub and when patrons ask for a reference point to size, they will bring out a baseball bat. Get the Bobbie, and you will heart it too!

Great service, family-owned feel, and delicious, fresh, to-order sandwiches. Also, they have a delicious veggie-turkey sub, great for vegetarians and vegans, with all kinds of yummy veggies to put on top. I wish I could comment more on their cheese steaks or non-veg hoagies, but I've only ever eaten here with an all-veg presence. :-) I'll definitely be back.

I like this place. Had veggie cheese burger made with soy and veggie turkey sw. Yummy. A little expensive than the normal chains like subway/ Quiznos or potbelly but it's a local mom and pop type place. Will defi go back again...

I visit Wilmington probably once every two years for work. There was two things I remembered about my first Wilmington experience....the Skins vs. Eagles game, and The BOBBIE. ... The Bobbie, the BEST sub that i have ever eaten. The "small" is a footlong. I believe the price for this is $6.95? It's turkey, cranberry sauce, mayo, and stuffing, on a sub roll. The turkey is fresh, as is the cranberry sauce, and the bread is delicious. I am currently in Wilmington now, and Capriotti's was the first place we stopped at. It's conveniently located off of 95. It's a complete hole in the wall place, sandwiched between a liquor store and a gas station. The subs are the best, and the staff is friendly and efficient. !!!!! love everything about this place! :)

Conveniently located off I-95, Capriotti's comes to my rescue (as always). Forget all those generic $5 footlongs from the big chains. Deleware is Capriotti's HQ and since we no longer have the location in San Diego, I wasn't about to pass up this opportunity, As usual, I stuck with the Slaw-Be-Joe (mounds of fresh roast beef, provolone, slaw, and Russian dressing). Just to make sure I got my fix, I was brave and got the 20 incher. Yup, that's one big assed sandwich. Good thing the hotel in Philly had a fridge, as I could only eat 1/4 per sitting (over the course of 2 days). Best $13 on a sandwich spent, period. And no tax in Deleware!

Fabulous! Great friendly service and subs to die for. My fave is the Bobbie, 'cause you just can't get fresh roasted turkey everywhere. Anytime I come to town this is a must-have. Unfortunately, my hubby didn't take my word for it, so when I started eating he just wanted a taste, and then, wouldn't you know it, I lost the other half of my sub to him. He's lucky I love him, I don't share my food with just anybody.

Capriottis makes huge promises... And Delivers every single time. Capriotti's is the industry standard by which all others are measured. To state Capriotti's makes good subs is a disservice to its legacy of epic perportion. Let me start by talking about one of my all time favorites, The Italian sub. The Italian is a work of art, a master piece if you will. The base of the sandwich is a hearty, Crusty yet moist flavorful Italian sub roll. As you take your first bite and the bread slides over your tongue you can instantly taste the freshness of the roll. The roll is soft, delicate yet refreshingly chewy all at the same time. The next thing you notice is the wonderful flavors created as you chew and mix the Capacolla and Peppered ham in your mouth. The freshness of the lettuce, onion, and sweet peppers combined with the incredible quality of meat and the fresh bread proves to overwhelm the senses sending you spiraling into a bliss filled moment. Yet no matter how many times you consume this work of art, It always delivers the same awe inspiring reaction. A moment of purity, Of sheer satisfaction. But it does not end there. That is just the beginning. The other sub that competes for a permanent place in my culinary heart is the Bobby. The Bobby starts with the same great bread, but all other similarities end there. The Bobby must have been created in the mind of either a genius or a lunatic. It is a bold sandwich that in reality should not really work. But it does, And it does so with swagger and ease. The Bobby is created by slow roasting fresh turkey breast then pulling it into thin strips like that of pulled pork. This incredible fresh turkey is then loaded on the fresh roll and slathered with just the right amount of quality mayo. Next comes the confusing part, The magic that just works so well yet seems to defy logic. They then spread freshly made stuffing, Yes stuffing the same kind you place in a turkey on thanksgiving all over the roasted turkey. Yes, bread on top of bread. But it is sinfully delicious. So, to recap, We have Fresh bread, Fresh turkey, Fresh stuffing what else could they add? Yes, They add an incredible cranberry relish. It is truly Thanksgiving on a sub. Thanksgiving year round. One of the most incredible culinary experiences one can encounter without sitting with pinky raised at an over priced stuffy gastro bar designed to massage the ego of the overly insecure chef that hasn't realized that simplicity is best. Capriotti's has become a pioneer in the sandwich industry, Going where no one has gone before. Yet now, some are copying and following suit. But I assure you, None have managed to reach the bar that Capriottis has set oh so very high. And last but not least, I must mention the cheese steak. Quality, thin sliced Ribeye steak grilled to perfection and stuffed into a fresh roll. Accompanied by all the trimmings one could desire. Personally I go for the fried onions and mushrooms with a hint of mayo and ketchup. I currently am stationed at Ft Huachuca in Arizona and don't have the pleasure of the weekly visits I used to make. But every time I fly in to Philly, The first thing I do after picking up the rental car is go straight to Caps and pick up subs for myself and my Nonna "Grandmother in Italian". I will be flying in on the 16th of September, And capriottis will be my first stop. Sorry Nonna, I'll see you after I pick up the subs.
